  We have been going to their Fish Fry's for over 4 years and have never seen such a devoted, pleasant and gracious parish. Father John is a true leader of a wonderful flock!!

  I find it hard to believe Fr John was rude to anyone especially a child as another reviewer stated. We have only gone to this church for a little over a year and he is what got us hooked. He's a very kind, funny man and his homilies are excellent! Every church has its' cliques but you just have to be your own person and find your own niche. It's a refreshing variation of the Roman Catholic Church. You don't have to pay for your pew either!

  went to that church for over 30 years, most of the people in that church wont talk to you unless youve been going there for over 30 years. you have to pay seat dues. just to go, yes, you have to pay them money just for sitting in their pews. that church had been in East Chicago for over 100 years. its not growing, because they say the same words every week. and dont help too many people outside of their four walls. they were friendly to us until the new priest came in about 2000 or so and hes not nice.at least not to me and my youngest daughter, he used to yell at my youngest one and make her cry. and he didnt like me because i actually read my Bible and know more about Jesus than he does, it seems.oh well, his loss.
